Sandro Botticelli is on top of the world. He is the rockstar of the Italian Renaissance. He is sleeping with his gorgeous assistant, Leonardo da Vinci. And he receives the highest honor from the Medici for his artwork. However, things take a turn for the worst when the plague returns and Sandro begins sleeping with Clarice Orsini, his Birth of Venus model and wife of Botticelli’s patron Lorenzo Medici. In this queering of the Italian Renaissance, we witness the great fall of the genius painter.
