Every fall, the Middlebury College Department of Theatre Department puts on the “First Show.” This production is an invitation to anyone who has not yet performed in a Department show to try out what it’s like being on stage. As a part of the Climate Change Theatre Action 2023 Festival, we interwove ten short plays focused on the climate crisis into one piece. Environmental sustainability was central to this production with all of our set, prop, and costume pieces sourced from the Theatre Department, Reuse Trailer, and the team members themselves.
